Fares & TicketsHow Does it Work? Having established the appropriate fare for the journey, you insert the exact fare in coins only into the top of the fare box. Notes are accepted. A ticket will then be issued by the ticket machine once the driver is satisfied that the correct fare has been deposited. If you have to deposit more than the exact fare, the driver will issue a passenger change ticket for the overpayment. This passenger change ticket together with your travel ticket must be presented at City Direct, Rahoon Road, Galway City during our office hours between 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday in order to claim a refund of the overpayment.
